Winter 2011 Newsletter

Thank you Commisioner Murgia. This year we see the end to a long distinguished carrier of public service. When January 2012 rolls around we will lose the services of a man I’ve worked with and respected for the past seven years, Commissioner Ralph Murgia. Most people of the Township know Ralph as he was a teacher in the Pottsgrove School District and the Athletic Director at one time.

Mr. Murgia’s four decades long of service to the community ranged from volunteering for committees to presiding as Board President. Ralph always took the time to help people with their concerns and many times helped me with the history of the Township and ways to make West Pottsgrove a better place to live.

One of the questions I will miss from Commissioner Murgia is how’s the Township doing? I want to thank Commissioner Murgia for all he has done for the Township and for the help and guidance he has provided to me. Truly good people come into your life for certain reasons and Commissioner Ralph Murgia is one of the Truly Good People that I’ve been fortunate enough to know.
Let’s all extend our warmest wishes and continued luck and success to Mr. Murgia in his retirement as he has earned the right to kick back and relax.

We will honor Mr. Murgia at his final meeting on December 21, 2011. All Township residents are invited to come out and wish him congratulations on his years of service to West Pottsgrove Township.
